This should be like facebook or myspace and we should just get to list "top friends".
I'm going to have to go with Daniel. I'm not very close to many, and I'm kind of a non-traditional student. Non-traditional is another way of saying "old".
Regardless, I started back at Ohio State in large part due to inspiration I got from my friend Daniel. We're pretty close, but we don't talk as much now. He lives near campus, but we both work, really busy.
When we did work together though, he always used to have the best OSU party stories. I worked with him for about 3 years, and it made me ponder why I didn't go back to school sooner.
Daniel and I hung out quite a bit at work, and outside of work. We both grew up in the country and shared similar interests. We went on a mandate and saw the Killers at the LC a few years back. I'm pretty sure a drunk girl tried to rape him. It was fascinating. One of the best concerts ever.
After he graduated, he asked if I wanted a few shirts. He was clearing out his closet on campus. I told him "sure". He brought two trash bags with about $1,000 worth of name brand shirts, pants, and jeans into work one day and threw them in my car. I was shocked.
I'm living life kind of backwards. I feel fortunate that I've been able to go back to school and am thoroughly enjoying it. I would like to have a little more leisure time, but I will by autumn if all goes according to plan. I'm thankful I met Daniel a few years ago, and that we became friends. My life went in a positive direction after we met. A case of young influencing old for the better.
It's interesting how much a person can teach you. Sometimes more than school can, you know?
