Blog # 10: Research

I'm using the Firefly “Shindig” episode for my Analytical Research Project. This episode illustrates some of the irrational and crazy things men do when they are in love with a woman. “Shindig” features a dual between two men (Mal and Atherton) to win the heart of a woman (Inara).

I plan on finding some real world historical occurrences of men fighting each other, possibly even risking their lives for the women they love. I'm also looking for an article that analyzes what love is and maybe gives some incite on how men and women fall in love, and why men are so willing to “fight” for the woman they love. Anthropologically, I will attempt to explain why men are willing to die sometimes in order to win over a woman; There is more to it than whats on the surface.

I will only use one or two of the following, they may all possibly be replaced by later in the week. I haven't had adequate time to research yet.
