"A lot of gang fighting is about girlfriends." Written by Tom Junod for esquire (Feb2008) the article "When Chivalry is Deadly" talks about societies that are "honor based". The article also discusses gang violence and points out that on many occasions, the violence is initiated when a woman is insulted. After a woman is insulted, the man who loves that woman is also insulted, or "dissed". The article is short in terms of description of gang violence, I will find another for my paper. It clearly shows the premise for the argument that chivalry is still alive today though, and that it probably will always exist in every society. There are several classic quotes from this article that will show up in my paper.
