People sometimes do irrational things when they are in love. Men specifically do extremely irrational things when they are in love. Chivalry is a term that has been used for hundreds of years. It's use originated in medieval Europe, but the word itself revolves around honor, virtue, and love. This paper will focus on the relationship of Mal and Inara from the TV series Firefly, and how the episode “Shindig” exemplifies chivalry and argues that it will always be a part of our human nature, regardless of where we are, or where we go.
