This article by Shelby Veppert discusses cancer in college aged students. An important topic that not many 17-23 year old students probably think about. There's some good advice here from someone who cares. Like Shelby, I'm nobodies parent either, but the information regarding tanning, eating healthy, not smoking, and exercise is all true. I'm 32, and I smoked for 9 years. I'm in decent health at the moment, but I wish I never smoked, I wasn't very healthy during that period of my life. I give Ohio State credit for offering many food choices to it's students, but there are still way too many soda machines. Coke owns half the planet though, so you'll have that.
Overall the article was positive and gives good information without preaching too much.
Cancer in college aged students?? I never thought about that. I mean I know that all the things we do now will affect our future, but I did not know how soon it could impact us. I agree with you about giving credit to OSU and their food choices. That was one of the things I looked into before attending here because I wanted a lot of options that were healthy.
